Conditions of Use

Three Ducks welcomes you to its shopping cart. We (my webmaster & I) hope you find the cart attractive, quick and efficient.

How it works:

You can think of a shopping cart as a tree with a trunk, limbs and branches. The Home page is the trunk and at Three Ducks the limbs are: software, fabric and notions. All the different products are the branches. There are many different ways to move through the cart:

  • the grey navigation bar below the Thee Ducks on a Roof banner
  • the Catalogue box on the upper left
  • the Manufacturers list on the left
  • and directly clicking on product images

The Site Map link is a great aide when you feel totally lost and is found in the Information box on the left and if you click on the Three Ducks coloured logo you will always return to the Home page. Any time you move your cursor and it turns into a 'pointing finger' or the text underneath it changes colour it means you can click on it and something wondrous will happen.

Purchasing Products:

The quickest method is to choose the orange PayPal Express Checkout button. You are taken directly to PayPal where you can pay with the credit card of your choice or log in to your PayPal Account if you have one. You do not need to set up a PayPal Account to pay by credit card.


A Note for PayPal Account Holders Only:

Three Ducks is using PayPal as its online payment 'gateway.' Therefore, when your order moves over to PayPal for payment, it searches its databank for a name and address match. It will only find a match if you have a PayPal Account and you will be required to log into that account. It does this for security reasons because PayPal would prefer to work with someone it knows than not knows. Therefore, if you have a PayPal Account but want to pay by credit card you must have set up a credit card in that account; otherwise, PayPal will want you to pay with the funds in your account and if you have insufficient funds you will be prompted to add more money before the order can be processed. To check to see if you have added a credit card, log into your PayPal Account, click on 'Profile' and then under 'Financial Information' click 'Credit Cards.'

On that PayPal Credit Card page near the bottom, is a line that says, "Add extra protection to your credit card for online purchases" We recommend you click on "Learn More" because it offers an option you may be interested in if you have added a credit card to your PayPal Account.


For Canadian and American customers who wish to pay by cheque or money order, you must click on "Go to Checkout" and create an Account with Three Ducks giving us your billing and shipping information.

Setting up an account with Three Ducks has advantages; it allows you to interrupt your shopping and return later, track your own order's processing, and be contacted by us to let you know when orders are received, processed and shipped. Simply put, it allows us to keep you informed.

You do not need to purchase to set up an Account. Simply click on 'Log In' above the grey navigation bar at the top of the Home page and fill in the required information. Once created, you can access your Account at any time by clicking 'Log In.' Clicking on My Account will give you access to any purchase information we may have stored and to your personal settings.

Pricing:

Three Ducks has endeavoured to be as accurate as possible entering prices into the cart; however, mistakes can happen when inputting so much data and we ask for your understanding in this area. Therefore, Three Ducks reserves the right to correct errors, inaccuracies and omissions at any time on the cart and with a customer's order. We will, of course, notify you as soon as possible should there be a price correction affecting your order.

Currencies:

Three Ducks offers its customers the ability to shop and purchase in five international currencies: American, Australian and New Zealand dollars, the Pound Sterling and the Euro. You can set your currency in the Currency box on the left side of the cart. Three Ducks updates it's currencies on a daily basis. Your currency setting will be carried through to PayPal.

Email:

Three Ducks will be sending out product updates, announcements and newsletters via email. These will go to our account holders and to those who subscribe to our newsletter. You may unsubscribe at any point by logging into your account.
